Sigilbase | Audit logs that hold up as evidence
Evidential custody for audit logs
The short version
What is Sigilbase | Audit logs that hold up as evidence?
Sigilbase is a service that provides tamper-evident audit logs for software teams. It allows users to send audit events via a REST API, which are then hashed, chained, and sealed into Merkle checkpoints signed with Ed25519 keys. This creates an audit trail that can be verified offline by third parties using an open-source tool, without requiring access to Sigilbase or the user's database.
It provides a third-party, tamper-evident audit log where records are anchored outside the user's control and verifiable offline by anyone, removing the need for auditors to trust the party being audited.

Quick answers
Sigilbase | Audit logs that hold up as evidence FAQ
What happens if I go over my monthly event allowance?
Ingestion continues. On the Team plan, overages are billed at £3 per 10,000 events. On the Business plan, overages are billed at £2 per 10,000 events. On the Developer plan, there is no overage bill, but you are prompted to upgrade.
Can an auditor verify evidence without a Sigilbase account?
Yes. Evidence bundles are self-contained files that can be verified offline using a standalone open-source tool without connecting to Sigilbase.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Your history is never deleted. After a 14-day grace period, the account becomes restricted (read-only), but ingestion, sealing, and nightly verification continue.
